It can be an exciting experience to dive at night, everything feels different underwater. The Gardens, located north of Naama Bay, are one of the best diving spots in Sharm El Sheikh after dark.
Dark waters make everything look beautiful, so grab your torches and dive! Night diving is a must at least once on your diving holiday. Discover what weird and wonderful creatures come out at night. Find parrotfish fast asleep in their protective spit bubbles, marvel over tiny sets of shrimps eyes catching your torchlight. Spot tiny cuttlefish on the move and always remember to wave your arms around and watch the tiny zooplankton light up all around you.
Night diving in Sharm El Sheikh is for the more advanced divers, who have some experience navigating the waters. Learn to signal with the light while under the water and when coming up to the surface. Make sure your dive buddy and the boat crew know how you will communicate with each other. Remember to point the torch on yourself so that the signals can be seen. Also be aware of other divers around you and take care not to direct the torchlight into their eyes, which will affect their night vision.
